HAMBURG, Germany, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Five high-ranking Syrian officers are to be named by the German U.N. investigator looking into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Germany's Stern magazine is reporting in its edition due to be released Thursday, that the United Nations' German investigator Detlev Mehlis will name Bashar Assad's brother-in-law Asef Shawkat currently head of Syrian military intelligence, Gen. Roustom Ghazalé, head of Syrian Military intelligence in Lebanon and three others.

Stern reported Mehlis interviewed about 400 witnesses and 20 people are being investigated.
A senior Stern editor told United Press International that $20 million were discovered in Ghazale's bank account.
The U.N. report expected to be handed to the U.N. Secretary General next week and should be made available to the public.
