Iranian VP and Hizbollah leader meet
IRNA reports that the Iranian VP and head of the Islamic Revolution Martyrs Foundation Mohammad Hossein Dehqan met with Hizbollah Leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
The meeting focused on regional issues concerning the US presence in Iraq and ways to combat US policies in Palestine and Lebanon. A clear indication that Iran is wary of losing its grip on Lebanon, Nasrallah was assured of Iranian support for the terrorist group in future resistence efforts. The Iranian VP had previously met with Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, President Emile Lahoud and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during a 3 day tour.
