International Drug Trafficking Network Busted

Lisbon. Portuguese Security Forces in joint operation with Spanish colleagues busted international drug trafficking network, EFE agency reports.

During codename Metamorphosis operation almost 4 tons of heroin were detained.
In official communiqué Portugal police announces British citizen was arrested during northern Portugal operation and 2860 grams of cocaine were found in his home.
The drug is considered to have been brought to Portugal via sea and was meant for distribution in other EU countries.
Meanwhile four people, in whose car almost 1 ton of cocaine was discovered, were arrested in Spain.
The police suspects the two cases are connected.
