Italy/France: 13 arrested in anti-terror swoop
Naples, 19 April (AKI) - Italian and French anti-terror police on Wednesday arrested eight men in Italy and five in France in a vast operation against a criminal ring believed to support an Islamic militant group. The police operation, which follows a year-long investigation, took place in the Italian cities of Naples, Caserta and Milan and in Marseilles, France. The men arrested are charged with aiding and abetting illegal immigrants and with forging documents for alleged hardline Salafite militants.
Six of the men arrested in Italy are Algerians and the other two Italians.
