PAKISTAN: ALLEGED AL-QAEDA MILITANT EXTRADITED TO TURKEY
Islamabad, 18 April (AKI) - An alleged al-Qaeda militant of Turkish origin who was captured by Pakistani security forces in the tribal area of South Waziristan, has been extradited to Turkey. According to a report on the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA, Pakistani interior ministry sources said that the 'militant', Muhammad Yusuf, who is in his late 20s, was handed over on Sunday on the request of the Turkish government after investigations were completed.
The KUNA report said that Yusuf was arrested in November last year in a raid in Wana, the main headquarters of the tribal area of South Waziristan which lies on the Pakistan-Afghan border.
