Pakistan cleric survives assassination attempt

A PROMINENT Pakistani Shia cleric survived an assassination attempt on 6 April when a remote-controlled bomb was detonated near his car in Karachi, Reuters reported. Allama Hassan Turabi was unhurt in the attack, but two people were wounded. The bomb was concealed in a cart.
