Lebanese PM to visit Iran – report
Tehran, Iran, Jul. 09 – Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora will soon travel to Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials, state-run dailies reported on Sunday.
The reports said that Siniora would soon announce the details of the trip which is taking place at the behest of Iranian government officials.
Earlier this month, Siniora stated that Iran should abandon its nuclear program in the interests of Middle East peace.
United States officials have accused Tehran of supporting rejectionist groups operating in Lebanon in an attempt to destabilise the Middle East.
Regional allies Iran and Syria are both accused by the U.S. of being state sponsors of terrorism.
