Iran financially prepared for UN sanctions

Iran has taken necessary financial measures to hedge against possible UN sanction over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, Central Bank of Iran governor Ebrahim Sheibani said on Friday.

According to the "Daily Times", Iran has taken the necessary financial measures to deal with possible economic sanction, Sheibani said.

"we have no worries," he said without elaborating.

Iran could be slapped with sanctions if it fails to comply with a Security Council resolution calling on it to halt sensitive nuclear activities.

Meanwhile Iranian cleric Ahmad Khatami said that Iran is ready for nconditional talks over its nuclear program but rejects the West's language of force over the issue.

Iran is favorable towards negotiation that are just, logical and without preconditions, but refuses the language of force, Ahmad Khatami said in a Friday prater sermon.
