Aug 23 (Reuters) - Following are security and other developments in Iraq reported on Wednesday, as of 0945 GMT.
BAQUBA - Eight people, including two policemen, were gunned down in different incidents in the religiously mixed city of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - A woman was killed and eight policemen and two civilians were wounded when a suicide bomber wearing an explosives belt and a police uniform blew up himself near a police checkpoint near the court in the northern city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
FALLUJA - Three civilians and three traffic policemen were wounded by a roadside bomb near a U.S. patrol in Falluja, 50 km (35 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.
NEAR LATIFIYA - Iraqi police on Tuesday pulled out six bodies from a small river near Latifiya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Iraqi army killed one insurgent and arrested 29 other suspects during the last 24 hours in different cities across Iraq, the army said on Wednesday.
AL-HAY - Gunmen killed a policeman on Tuesday in the small town of al-Hay, south of Kut, 170 km (105 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - A civilian was killed and another wounded when a roadside bomb went off in the southern Saidiya district of Baghdad, a source in the Interior Ministry said.
KUT - Gunmen killed a former member of Saddam Hussein's ousted Baath Party late on Tuesday, police said.

BAGHDAD - The trial of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and six co-defendants resumed on Wednesday. Saddam faces charges of genocide after the killing of tens of thousands of Kurdish villagers in a campaign that devastated northern Iraqi in 1988.
