Ukraine Offers Missile Defense Cooperation to Israel

Ukraine has offered to support Israel in the development of ballistic missile defense systems, Israel Today reported yesterday (see GSN, March 3).

“We will be very glad to cooperate with Israeli scientists and developers in the area of missiles and satellites,” Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko said during a recent meeting in Germany with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres. “Development of advanced technological weaponry could be the basis for further strategic cooperation between the two countries” (Israel Today, Oct. 4).
