Venezuela: Gunmen rob Chinese Embassy
CARACAS, Venezuela, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Armed robbers broke into the Chinese Embassy in the Venezuelan capital and stole more than $14,000, El Universal newspaper reported Monday.
The eight gunmen broke into the embassy over the weekend and held several staff members at gunpoint while they robbed the mission's safe.
Chinese officials Monday asked Venezuela to step up its investigation of the incident and do more to ensure the safety of embassy staff.
