IRAN: EXPLOSIONS RECORDED IN SOUTH

Tehran, 11 Jan. (AKI) - Three explosions rocked Khorramshahr, in Iran's southwestern Khuzestan province on Thursday, the Tehran-based news agency Fars reports. The agency did not give further details on the incident in the oil-rich province, which has been at the centre of ethnic unrest by the Arab majority population for over a year. Most of Iran's Arabs, about 3 percent of Iran's 69 million citizens, live in southwest Iran.
