TERRORISM: BIN LADEN ALIVE, TALIBAN CHIEF SAYS
London, 2 March (AKI) - Senior Taliban commander Mullah Dadullah says Osama bin Laden is alive and well but rarely speaks to outsiders any more. In an interview with Britain's Channel Four television, Mullah Dadullah said he hasn't personally met bin Laden since the fall of the Taliban regime in late 2001 but bin Laden's comrades are in touch with him. He said they exchange messages and go to the battlefield together.
Channel Four has not said how it obtained the footage or where it was filmed.
In the same interview Dadullah said the Taliban has "hundreds more" suicide bombers ready to attack NATO forces in Afghanistan. NATO commanders have already said they think the Taliban plan a spring offensive against their troops in the country.
