Chechen miltants attack Russian convoy
FIVE Russian soldiers died after their military convoy came under fire near Grozny in Chechnya, on 17 May, Interfax news agency reported.
A spokesman for the law enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic told a reporter that the convoy came under fire from various types of infantry weapons as it travelled along a road on the outskirts of the village of Nikikhita in Kurchaloyevskiy District, 40 km southeast of Grozny.
