MACEDONIA: SHOOTINGS AND CLASHES MAR ELECTION CAMPAIGN
Skopje, 26 June (AKI) - In the run-up to 5 July polls, Macedonia's tense general election campaign took an even more violent turn over the weekend, when two people were injured and several beaten up in clashes between activities from two leading ethnic Albanian parties, local media reported. Abdulahim Kasani, an official of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) was wounded in front of his home in western town of Tetovo, while another DUI activist was injured and several were beaten up in a shootout with the activists of the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) in the village of Rasce.
