Algeria discovers more gas in Barkin basin

ALGIERS, Algeria, July 11 (UPI) -- Algerian Sonatrach on Monday made an energy discovery in the Barkin basin.

This is the seventh discovery of hydrocarbons in the form of condensed gas since the start of the year. The company said that the production rate highlighted the huge hydrocarbons potential in the Barkin basin, Algerian radio reported.

With this discovery, the number of hydrocarbon discoveries is now elevated to 13 in Algeria.
