Terrorists to be dealt with firmly: Musharraf

PakTribune: ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has said that the government would deal strictly against terrorists and the government would not hesitate to take difficult decisions in this regard.

This he stated during a meeting with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz who called on him in President Camp Office here Tuesday.

Both the leader discussed matters related to mutual interest, overall political situation of the country.

The Prime Minister briefed the President about his recent visit to the United States where he represented Pakistan at the high level United Nations panel aimed at revamping the UN system.

He also briefed the President about his meeting with US investors and the Global Micro-Credit Summit in the Canadian city of Halifax.

Both the leaders were discussed issues pertaining to war on terror and while condemned the recent suicide bombing at Dargai reiterated the firm resolve of the government to wipeout the menace of terrorism.

The two leaders expressing their sympathy with the bereaved families assured that the government would provide all necessary assistance to them.

The President has urged the approval of Women Protection Bill in the current session of the National Assembly.

Sources told that situation created after the approval of Hasba Bill from NWFP assembly was also discussed during the meeting.

President Pervez Musharraf has also directed PM to take more initiatives to control inflation and improve law and order situation.

Both the leaders also discussed the ongoing Pak-India negotiations on foreign secretaries level.
