Israel’s Arrow anti-missile was successfully tested Friday against a simulated enemy missile resembling an Iranian nuclear-capable Shehab-3
The fake enemy missile was fired from an airplane over the Mediterranean from the West. The Arrow missile was fired from an Israeli Air Force base in the center of the country and hit the target. This was the 14th test of the Arrow system, developed with the US and 9th of the missile.
This was a routine trial to test improvements made to the missile’s intercepting performance with regard to altitude and distance. It is not designed to combat missiles more advanced than the Shehab 3.
