L-3's Spar Aerospace wins C-130 contract from Norwegian Defence Logistics
NEW YORK (CP) - Spar Aerospace Ltd., a Canadian subsidiary of L-3 Communications, has won a contract from Norwegian Defence Logistics Organization to replace the outer wings on one of its C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
The work on the Norwegian air force aircraft will be carried out at the company's Edmonton factory beginning in May. Financial details were not disclosed in a release Wednesday.
"We are pleased that the NDLO has entrusted L-3 SPAR with this outer-wing program," L-3 Spar president Patrice Pelletier stated.
"L-3 Spar has developed innovative wing improvement programs working for the Canadian C-130 fleet for over 40 years and this award is a reflection of our market leadership in C-130 life extension programs."
