Lack of Palestinian rocket attacks credited to IDF threat

The lack of Qassam attacks during Israel's troubled time with Sharon hospitalized is the direct result of IDF sources threatening Palestinian militant's with heavy handed response.

Since PM Sharon fell to a massive stroke and was hospitalized, Palestinian rocket attacks have dropped dramatically. Israel suffers nearly 20 Qassam rocket attacks daily, but that number has dropped to only 2 since the Prime Minister suffered his stroke. IDF sources have said that this is a result of threats to Palestinian militants that any irritation of the situation within Israel will be dealt with a heavy hand. The two Qassam rockets that have landed on Israeli territory in the last day was met with IDF heavy artillary fire in response.
