NEAR TAL AFAR - A U.S. UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed in northern Iraq late on Saturday night, killing all on board in one of the worst incidents of its kind since the 2003 invasion, the U.S. military said on Sunday. Four crew and eight passengers were listed as being on board, the military said in a statement.
FALLUJA - Three U.S. soldiers were killed in separate attacks while conducting combat operations in Falluja, 50 km (32 miles) west of Baghdad, U.S. military said.
KARMA - A U.S. Marine was killed when a roadside bomb went off near Karma, 50 km (35 miles) west of Baghdad, U.S. military said.
FARIS - U.S. Marine was killed in a roadside bomb attack near Faris, about 50 km (35 miles) west of Baghdad, U.S. military said.
BAGHDAD - One Iraqi policeman was killed and 13 wounded during clashes with gunmen in the Adil district of the capital, police said.
NEAR BAIJI - A gunman died after he crashed his car following an exchange of fire with U.S. troops on Saturday, the U.S. military said. They said the man shot at them from the car. They returned fire and the man lost control of his vehicle and rolled it into a ditch. U.S. soldiers pulled him out and local police took him to hospital, but he died of his wounds en route.
BAIJI - Two suspects were detained for questioning in connection with bomb attacks against the Iraqi army and U.S. forces on Saturday southwest of Baiji, 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
*KIRKUK - Two civilians were killed and two wounded when gunmen opened fire from their car at a crowd in Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police sources said.
*HILLA - Gunmen shot dead a former senior Baath party member who was also a colonel in the dissolved Iraqi army in Hilla, 100 km (62 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
