Weapons smugglers arrested in Iran

LONDON, December 12 (IranMania) - Smugglers attempting to bring in weapons from Iraq were arrested by Iran's Intelligence Ministry officers.

Khuzestan Public Prosecutor’s Office said four members of this band, who intended to smuggle one crate of weapons in the dark of night to Ahvaz and Shadegan, were arrested by the intelligence officers of Shadegan, IRNA reported.

The crate of weapons, which was skillfully concealed in a car and escorted by two motorcyclists, contained over 60 weapons, one Kalashnikov and a number of bullets.

In this surprise arrest, two smugglers were injured and transferred to a hospital under protection. Their case is being handled by the Public Revolutionary Court of Shadegan.
