Russian and Turkish Diplomats Discussed Situation in South Caucasus
PanARMENIAN.Net/ The 6th sitting of the Russian-Turkishworking group was held in Ankara December 19.
The group was formed within the “Program of activities targeted at the development of cooperation in Eurasia between the Russian Federation and the Turkish Republic” signed by the Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers in 2001. The parties discussed the prospects of the Russian-Turkish cooperation and referred to the regional and international problems including the situation in Iraq, Black Sea region, Caucasus and Central Asia. The next sitting of the Russian-Turkish working group will be held in Moscow in 2006.
Implications of this work group would also include talks on Operation Active Endeavour.
